Mariela Petrova

Mariela Petrova is a member of the Paris Bar.

​

Mariela Petrova has twenty years of experience acquired on major international advisory and litigation cases in Paris, London, Abu Dhabi and Sofia. 

​

Mariela Petrova holds:

  • a postgraduate degree in International Private Law (Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II) (2001)

  • a postgraduate degree in Information Technologies and Multimedia Law (Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II) (2002), and

  • an LLM in European Business Law (University of Leicester, UK) (2003)

 

Mariela Petrova advises on corporate, commercial and contract law. Her main areas of practice include:

  • Venture capital and private equity, mergers and acquisitions

  • Strategic partnerships and joint ventures

  • Corporate finance and debt renegotiation

  • Restructuring of corporate groups

  • Foreign investments

  • Commercial contracts (franchise, distribution, commercial agents)

  • Information technology

  • Litigation

Mariela Petrova is also regisered as a foreign (French lawyer) in Bulgaria.

Mariela Petrova has been involved in numerous fundraising and LBO transactions, as well as in the setting up of the shareholder structure and corporate governance of a Technology Research Institute, in the context of a public-private partnership involving competitiveness clusters, the French State and private companies, in the context of the "Grand Emprunt". 


Mariela Petrova regularly assists companies in the aeronautical field on asset disposals and related litigation, and also acts in matters of litigation concerning defective products.


Mariela Petrova was a lecturer in international business law at EDHEC Lille in 2009.

Prior to founding the Firm, Mariela Petrova worked for Willkie Farr & Gallagher (2001-2005) and for Linklaters LLP (2005-2009) on high-profile corporate and commercial matters.
